16/10/2024

Set back in the lavish gardens of Holland Park, Italian dining destination Belvedere, is harking back to its history as a renowned pleasure ground, welcoming hungry epicureans with the launch of its most luxurious menu, featuring white truffles, launching on 1st November.

Working with small-scale suppliers, the seasonal menu from Head Chef Lello Favuzzi features premium produce sourced from villages across Italy, ensuring that the vibrant flavours of his home country are threaded throughout. Available as supplements on the à la carte, expect perfectly Fried hen’s eggs topped with copious shavings of white truffle; followed by Hand-chopped beef Battuta, a Piedmontese take on steak tartare, complemented with earthy truffle. For the main event, golden and green Paglia e Fieno Taglierini is crowned with the rare delicacy. A velvety scoop of house-made ice cream infused with the deep essence of white truffle provides a sweet conclusion to the meal.

To drink, Head Sommelier Joseph Pelosi will pair each course with his favourite wines from Tuscany and beyond. Alternatively, a selection of signature and seasonal cocktails are expertly crafted under the helm of the bartender. The Smoke & Pine is subtle, seasonal blend of Benromach 10yr, Palo Cortado, pine, honey and orange; whilst the Tierra Fresca is a vibrant and spicy mix of Volcan Blanco Tequila, jalapeño, cucumber, elderflower and yuzu soda.

Dating back to 1638, the elegant Italian restaurant was originally a stables and coach house before being transformed into a ballroom. To pay homage to its alluring past, Belvedere has been restored to reveal the beauty of its original brickwork. What is now a truly decadent destination nestled between the leafy trees of West London, there is no better setting to savour the most luxurious of ingredients of the colder months.

The truffle dishes at Belvedere will be available to order as supplements from the à la carte from 1st November.
