HAMPTON MANOR INTRODUCES MID-WEEK SUMMER OFFER

10/07/2024

The luxury foodie destination in the West Midlands, Hampton Manor is inviting guests to cook and eat with them through its brand-new mid-week two-night offer, taking place on 5th - 7th and 27 - 29th August. From outdoor barbecues and wine tastings to picnics on the lawn and foraging workshops, the immersive stays have been designed for curious food lovers looking to enjoy an undiscovered culinary experience.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with drinks and freshly baked goods from the estate’s bakery against the backdrop of curated vinyl tracks. Check-in to one of the 15 luxury bedrooms in the manor, each influenced by William Morris, before partaking in a wine-tasting led by in-house Sommelier Max.

As the evening draws in, the team will fire up the barbecue on the Manor Terrace and prepare dinner led by Smoke's Executive Chef Stuart Deeley. Expect the likes of Crispy pork belly, caramelised apple puree, crispy pork scratchings and red vein sorrel; Yakitori chicken, kimchi and spiced chicken crumb; and BBQ beef brisket, black garlic puree and beer battered onion rings. Vibrant sides to go alongside include Tomato and burrata; and Oak leaf, Castel Franco salad with garlic and dill dressing.

On day two, breakfast will be followed by a foraging workshop around the Walled Garden, home to Michelin-starred Grace & Savour and the wider estate. Guided by host Sarah, guests will gather all sorts of wild foods and then learn what to do with them. Then, enjoy a picnic featuring seasonal salads and lighter bites created by the team, with mini Nyetimber to sip on whilst unwinding in the expansive forty-five acres of woodland.

Onto dinner and head over to neighbourhood restaurant Smoke for a special three-course meal. Highlights include Smoked mackerel, blood orange, chicory, and pink radish, Cornish lamb rump and Artichoke, broad bean and ewe’s curd. Finish off with Colston Bassett, or Pink Lady apple Tarte-Tatin, for something sweeter. To drink, Head Sommelier, Harry Grinneau, has curated a list featuring low-intervention wines and lesser-known finds from Santorini to Slovenia, whilst cocktails include a Smoked Paloma and Orkney Old Fashioned.

On the final morning, experience a 'Meet the Maker' session, an opportunity to meet the team, from the gardeners and the bakery team to owners James and Fjona.

The mid-week summer offer is available from the 5th- 7th and the 27th-29th of August, starting from £449.
